Anybody else applying for the Spring '15 semester? I have taken all of my pre-reqs...cumulative GPA 3.23...A's and B's in science pre-reqs so I'm sure I meet the science gpa requirement. And yesterday I finally took the TEAS V for the 2nd time (smh) and made the required scores. So, I'm hoping I get accepted. I'm going to review my nursing application one more time before I submit it...and then the WAITING begins. *sighs* I'm so ready to get that acceptance letter to show my hard work paid off.

Does anyone know the program code for the background check or where to find it? The one on the paper is not our code right?

Ok guys I hope I don't regret doing this lol but I made our class a fb page within the group u memphis!!! You first have to join the u memphis group by verifying your student email and the join our page!! Good luck to everyone I hope this will help us come together as a team!!! Did anybody happen to get the entire list of skill Supplies??? She clicked off of it fast. I want to see if I can find the individual items and see if it would be cheaper to buy each item individually or buy the "kit"? If you have it please PM me. And congrats stwllms!!

@BSN_Summer2015 thanks for offering your help. I have lots of questions!! Were you able in the first semester or able now to work part time? Does clinical sites (I know we don't start until the second semester) allow iPads to use for reference or do we have to carry our physical book instead? I've heard of other nursing programs being "self taught", do you feel as though UofM is the same?

You're welcome! I think they are changing the curriculum again...1st sem students will be alternating between sim lab and the hospital. I was not able work then nor now. My grades would be horrible. The load is something serious!! Most instructors during clinical will not allow any devices like that on the floor. They're even picky about carrying phones. During clinical you can bring your lab manual, drug book, and Clinical book....& any other pocket references you may have. Different instructors allow different things. I agree with things being self taught!! For MedSurg 1, I had Dr. LEE & she did an awesome job teaching UNFORTUNATELY she's now the director of the program & some one else is teaching it & they're having a hard time with that professor too.

I am new to Allnurses and I was so excited to see this thread! I am a University of Memphis BSN alum and I am so excited for all of you. Way to go on getting accepted! That is a MAJOR accomplishment. I have been a nurse for 16 years and I am sure a lot has changed, but I have to say, my nursing education at Loewenberg was great! I wish you all the best and hope your teachers are amazing.
