Published

I thought I'd start one of these, I haven't seen one.

Only one year away (almost)!

Where are you applying?

What are their requirements/what do they look at for admission?

What is your current GPA? (science and GE)

Any entrance exams? scores?

Plan A, B and C?

Hi there!

I'm a Spring 2010 hopeful too! So I thought it'd be fun to respond, here goes:

Where are you applying? I applied to Glendale Community College (GCC); Pasadena City College (PCC); LA County College of Nursing; and, Mount St. Mary's College (ADN)

What are their requirements/what do they look at for admission? science pre-req. gpa; general ed. courses gpa; entrance exam scores; and GCC & PCC used a lottery system

What is your current GPA? (science and GE) science gpa = 4.0 & GE = 3.2

Any entrance exams? scores? TEAS = 87% & CAT = 13.5 (on all sections)

Plan A = Get into Glendale Community College's ADN program. & I found out yesterday that I got in!! :D

I hope you get into the program of your choice as well -- Best wishes to you! :D

how hard is it to get into an adn program in general?

Specializes in Surgical/Trauma ICU.

It depends on the school. Some go by a waitlist, some use a lottery system and some take students based on best GPA. It also depends on where you live. If you're looking at private schools, some of those take students automatically. It just depends how impacted the program is. Just look up schools in your area and their nursing program website should list all of the requirements.
