Hey! I’m just wondering if anyone else on this site is applying for the nursing program at Georgia Gwinnett College for Spring 2021? I’m so nervous, haha.
I’m currently in A&P 2 and Micro but my current stats are:
Overall GPA: 3.84
Science GPA: 3.6 (pretty confident I’m going to get an A in my two remaining classes)
TEAS: taking on August 3rd
I’m going to updates everything once I take my TEAS ?

Haha I hope so! I studied for about a month. I took A&P2 during the Summer so I was still fresh on the topics we covered in there thankfully.
I got the ATI TEAS Manual and I already had to Mometrix manual. I found that the ATI TEAS Official Manual just touched the surface I had definitely had to use other sources and videos. If you are having any trouble with math, check out this guy named Brandon Craft. He did a video on all the math topics on the TEAS test. I watched it the day before mine and it helped so much. https://www.bcraftmath.com/atiteas.html

85/97/87/87 my GPA is lower from classes I got C’s in freshman year 2016(AP2 & micro) Hoping they see I got As in all my Chemistry’s & AP2 last school year ??
Congratulations, those scores are amazing! I’m sure you’ll get in with those! How did you study for the math and reading portion? And what type of questions were asked in the math section?

I swear by the Mometrix black and yellow study book. They also have an online TEAS study course on their website that came with the online book, videos, flash cards, and 8 practice tests. I believe it was $70, but for the amount of info and practice tests, it was worth it. I found that taking practices tests versus sitting down and reading the study book was more beneficial. When I just read the book I scored a 77 my first attempt. I was able to score an 89 when all I did the week prior was do practice tests and crash course videos.
The math questions were identical to the ones Mometrix gave. Math is NOT my strong subject at all and that book really showed you what you needed to know. Lots of converting percentages and fractions & Adding/subtracting fractions was a majority of the section!
For reading, knowing the difference between writing styles so.. expository, narrative, persuasive. Asked a lot of questions like what happened first in the text, what’s the main idea. Practice is all I did. Key is to pace yourself!
Do not underestimate the English portion. It’s the last portion so your brain is already tired from sitting through the 3 prior sections. Take your time and really read the questions. Know different between complex, compound, compound-complex sentences as well as meanings of given prefixes and suffixes.
don’t be scared of the TEAS! It’s so doable. I thought I would fail my last attempt but practice is really the key. You’ll be able to know your weak spots and refer back to the book for that help. Best of luck! ?

That’s fine you’ll be okay people have gotten in with lower. How long did you study if you don’t mind me asking ? And what materials did you use. & @Kayla Oung I completely understand English can be a pain in the butt. It was my lowest score the last time I tested and brought my whole score down to a 78 but tbh I didn’t take time to truly drill it then. & I’ve been studying for a long time this round so yes I do feel as though I’m ready. Wby ?
