I was just wondering were there any others who were applying for Spring 2013. I was in nursing school many moons ago (2003 el centro), and have decided to take care of unfinished business. I'm super excited about the new points system. I actually hope to attend Northlake--we live in Coppell. I'll be taking HPRS 1204 this summer there as well. Is anyone else petitioning the five year limit on their science courses? I Have all the Science courses complete except HPRS so I'm petitioning since I majored in Biology (UTA). I'm also hoping they will take my Calculus I in lieu of college algerbra. Lots to do! Prayerful that God shows favor on us all!
I just found out I'm about 50 down on the waitlist for TWU, so that is going to be a "no". Even though I had decided on El Centro over TWU already, it still stings...and makes acceptance to El Centro even MORE imperitive!
Today is mail day , I'm more anxious about tomorrow. Funny thing is I have class at the paramount building tomorrow. I wonder if I stopped by would they tell me anything different than you'll just have to wait on your mail. Maybe they mailed them yesterday and they start arriving today , we can at least pray. Lol. I had 21...and I'm think we still have a decent chance. Especially since it seems like el centro would disqualify a lot of people due to technicalities such as vaccinations and BLS, and the changes they made scared people off from applying.
I agree!! I was freaking out after I turned mine in but when I called the advisor on the phone ( this was back in August) said we are all worrying too much & that it would probably be around 16/17ish. She said 24 was the highest they were seeing & the avg was around 19. That was about a week before the due date so she definatly made me feel better! Don't quote me on any of that but that's the impression I've been under. Good luck to everyone!!
UGH! I just called. I am SO impatient! Letters have been sent and apparently they will be telling us how many points you had total and the lowest point total that was accepted. However, she wouldn't tell me that info over the phone! UGH!!!
