I thought that I saw some sort of positioning device in the AORN journal where a patient can lay their face down in a horse-shoe type rest, also has a rest for the arms and feet, and can be adjusted to accomodate almost any size patient. Avoids the nurse having to have the weight of the patient on them, and also locks to prevent patient movement even more than the nurse could. Anyone else seen this in the ads, or used it in practice? What do you think, and do you have a web-link fo rthe device?

By the time you get the patient positioned in such a device, you could already have the block done.
Worthless.

I haven't seen it, but it makes good sense. Especially if you have an anesthesiologist who takes forever to block or a really big pt.
Your description puts me in mind of a massage chair.

Same here. We tried it for a week, wasn't worth it.
Marie and JWK, apparently you don't like it!!
What is it called? What's the company? Do you have a website? Would they allow for a trial period?
I'd kinda like to see for myself anyway. (OR nurses are like that)
