SPC Fall 2014 Nursing Applicants

Published

So I have done my application for SPC's RN program as well as BayCare's EAYL program. I'm just curious how many other people on here are also applying. We can wait for our acceptance's (wishful thinking) together.

4 MORE DAYS!!!

Hey everybody-

First time poster here but I've been anxiously creeping all the forums to do with SPC Nursing. I, too, applied for the Fall 2014 semester and am waiting impatiently for an email.

My friend already received a rejection email for the semester so in not sure if that's a good sign or a bad sign for me who still has not received an email either way.

Ughhh I just want to know already!!

Uhmmitsrach when did your friend get the rejection email?

The waiting is killing me 2 more days!

Shadokat - she said she got it at 12:30pm on Thursday (so the 26th).

I feel ya- I can barely sleep lately because I'm so nervous!

Seriously? I am sooooo sorry for your friend, but maybe just maybe that's a good sign for us? :nailbiting:

2 more days!!!!!!!!!!!

What do you think the gpa cut off will be? I have a 3.7 with all pre-reqs done and city resident.

I think you're golden! 2 more days...

Is anyone thinking about taking evening classes?

Yeah I'll be taking evening classes!

I've heard pros and cons for both but since I'll be working full-time, evening class times are the only ones that work for me.

Evening classes graduate sooner since they go through the summer semester but they are also supposedly a little harder because the summer semester is condensed.

I wish I could take AM classes but I just don't have a choice with working 40 hours a week-no time to fit it all in!!

I really hope it is a good sign that we haven't gotten emails yet! However, I am an out of county resident so I don't want to get my hopes up but maybe my high gpa helped:) Praying we all get in!

Emails are going out. I was not invited to SPC, but I was offered a seat at PHCC to start next month. Hope everyone gets in... and enjoy your journey!

FYI - Here are some stats on this years program from my email:

The applicant pool consisted of over five hundred fifty applicants and was very competitive. The average grade point average for those selected was a 3.82 which includes an average of 29.9 of the 30 general education and support course credits from the nursing curriculum completed.

Congrats on PHCC! I still have not recieved an email and now im nervous about not having micro completed yet.

Maybe not getting one is a good thing! If the only ones going out are rejections at this point you don't want it ;)

Positive thinking!
