Nursing Students School Programs

Hi everyone! I’m starting this thread so we can share our application criteria points with each other! I just turned in my application today. I have between 85 and 88 points. I have 3 B’s on my science prerequisites :((, 4.0 gpa for all the general Ed courses. I have fluency in Spanish, an associates degree, CNA, and volunteer experience. I scored an 88 on my TEAS! I hope they can look past my grades in my prerequisite courses and I get in!!! I hope we all get into this cohort! Good luck everyone

I got a rejection too & my points were 78, good luck to the rest of you guys!

I'm sorry :( When did you get the rejection letter?

Anyone else get anything?

For the people getting the emails, did you apply for lvn-rn or straight to RN?

Wow, I am so sorry! That is crazy! What the heck is going on!!

I can't help but think that at this point no email from them right now is good. If they are sending out rejection letters first, that is a bit insane. I don't even know what my total points were so now I can't help but panic, I keep checking my email every 5 minutes hoping I don't get an email at this rate xD. But good luck everyone :( This is so incredibly stressful.

I am in full panic attack mode ? I think I had around 81 points.. so if people aren’t getting in with 78 I’m either going to be an alternate or just haven’t gotten a rejection letter yet

That's exactly what I was thinking. The first time I'm so glad I dont see anything in my inbox.

Me too. I had 81-83 points depending on if they give me those life points. I'm so nervous. I got my Hope's up when they said the cut off was 75. Like oh maybe I wont be an alternate. But now I'm hoping I'm at least an alternate now!?

Same here!! Oohh I feel sick to my stomach!

All - you are assuming that the denials have anything to do with points. They may not. Not assuming is a big part of critical thinking.

To those denied, I’m sorry. It may not be your time. Don’t give up! Keep trying!

And honestly, to those denied with high points, I would email and ask why you did not get in when you calculate your points at X. PM me for a good strategy for that email.

All others, think positive! No point in worrying about something out of your control. You will have to keep your calm for your patients as well. Put out good vibes ?

where did you guys hear the cut off was 75 points? They never disclosed that to us we basically estimated it amongst what other classmates have said. Also some people do get denied who high points and someone with lower points can get in it all depends on your over all package and what you have to offer the program what makes you unique. Don’t panic about the points it’s not entirely based on that I know people with high points who got rejected and I got in with less than them. So don’t let this be alarming to you. Stay positive and know that if it’s meant to be it will happen!!!! Also, my condolences to those who didn’t get accepted keep trying there are other programs and go with your plan B I was willing to leave the state to go to school don’t let this hold you back keep pushing forward it will happen!
