Dang, my scores are embarrassing. 3.6 GPA and 80% HESI. I applied legit 12:02am on August 1st. I hope that and my medical assisting background is something they consider. Im passed stressed at this point and they better not wait until Friday LOL

Right? That's literally how I feel! A few years back our scores would have been great but now lots of people have 4.0! I think you still have a good chance of getting in & at this point, they're waiting until Friday LOL

I am, I found a PRN position as a PCT at the hospital. Wby are you working ?

Yeah I am a fulltime PCT and I am trying to decide if I want to go PRN or not, but I wanted to wait until I heard back from the school.

They are really taking forever, only reason I'm waiting for the email is because I'm hoping to atleast get placed on the alternative list. When I went to take my HESI one lady was telling me how her GPA was super good last year and she didn't get in. I think the sooner you apply the better. & no, I have 3 small kids! I'm a sahm

I have 2 kids. I wish I could afford to stay home while I complete the program. I work overnight 6:45-7:15am. It's only 3 nights a week so it isn't bad, but I like to work about 4 nights to make the money I need to get by.

Yes but at this point time is ticking, I know deep down he needs my help so if I don't get accepted waiting another year will suck. I'm thinking about either maybe applying to radiology next Summer so I can start that august if accepted but the program is 2 whole years long or waiting another year for nursing which I really want to do because nursing has always been my plan A and just maybe taking a phlebotomy course while I wait. I'm not sure how long the phlebotomy course will be though

Yeah. I'd be beyond disappointed if I have to wait until next year or try to fight to get into another school....

What is a good plan B program you guys are considering? I may do surgical tech push come to shove

Your score is not embarrassing at all. That is some pretty solid work overall. Don't discredit yourself. I have to do the same as well. We just have to keep our fingers crossed for good news by the end of the week.

They shouldn't make this such a long process. I can't stand waiting anymore. Radiology sounds like fun. Phlebotomy is a short term program I think. It will be an easy job to do while you are in the program too. I considered switching to phlebotomy PRN during the program, because it is less stressful than running around as a tech. When it is a good nigh it is great, but when it is busy and bad, it is terrible.

same!! It is so close and convenient for my life. Surgical techs and even cardiovascular tech seems pretty interesting as well. They work down in the cath lab helping the cardiologists with heart related procedures.

Yeah I did. I wasn't accepted. Best of luck to everyone!

I haven't received my email yet but my scores are very low so I know I have a lot of work to do. I wish they had a different scoring for allowing entrance. Like a ethics and morals test. And academically just make sure all the sciences are excellent. I have a B in both of my anatomy classes. The C came from psych and humanities. Guess I just have to pull them all up. Anyways RoxieRN keep your head up. You don't have much to do at all. Just retake about 2 and turn them into A's and you'll be fine. Try chattahoochee too.
