South University FNP program

Published

Has anyone graduated from South University's FNP program? If so, did you feel like you were well prepared?

I am considering going to south university in Austin.. Would go once a week to campus..I have spoke to one current student and she feels great about program and liking it..she will be first graduating class .. Where are you located?

I am in North Carolina. There is a South University campus in High Point, NC but it doesn't offer FNP. It would be online for me.. I spoke to an admissions rep last week and the classes are offered one at a time the first year and then you're responsible for finding clinical sites in your area for the second year. I just don't know anyone that has gone through them.

I did talk to a FNP student at South yesterday.. She will be the first class to graduate. She was very happy with her South experience and recommends the program in Austin ... All locations are different.

Specializes in Urology.

Not to discredit south university but they are a subsidiary (owned) by Education Management Corporation which was just found guilty in federal court using high pressure tactics and illegal documentation for federal student loan dollars. South is a for profit institution and as a general rule, I would avoid them!

Thank you for good info.. Looking into others!
