Afternoon all! I am new to allnurses and still not too sure of all the rules, so please work with me. I am enrolling at South University and hoping to complete the BSN program. This is somewhat of a second career for me as I am already employed at an elementary school, but really want to go into the nursing field. How was your experience at South U? How long did your program take?-I'm told that South U is accelerated? How helpful was the staff and fellow classmates? REally excited and just needing some advice! Any thoughts good or bad are greatly appreciated- thanks!! Oh also, what are some of the clinical sites?

I have not gone there, but I wish you luck. I am a student at FDTC. The SC nursing forum is pretty slow though so you may not get a huge response.
Hello and thanks for your response! Good luck to you as well!

I am looking into the program as well. Can you let me know if you did enroll, and if so how it went, if you need pre-reqs etc. Thanks :)

Hi, I know this is an older post but I wanted to respond anyway. I am applying for April 2014 nursimg program at SU. I did all of my general ed classes there and I love it. It's a bit more expensive, but they really care about the students.
Hi Wifeoffireman and thanks for replying! I have just finished my first quarter. How long did it take you to finish all of your pre-reqs before getting to the stage of applying?
I finished all of my pre-reqs in one year. I lost my brother this past Summer and I made the mistake of tking the Teas a week after his burial and failed. I will be taking it again in a couple of weeks. The Spring 2014 application deadline is Jan. 31st. I think you'll like it, they keep the class sizes small , I like it that way.
Best of Luck to you!!! I'm sure that you will do great. I agree, from the classes that I have taken so far, they are really small. I'm happy to hear that the pre-reqs can be accomplished in such a short time because I am very anxious to apply for the upper division.

Hello, I was wondering if you knew the general dates and times of the nursing classes being held? I saw that the classes are from 0830-300. Do you know if that is Monday through Friday or not? I would love to get as much information as I possibly can.
