Psych RN opportunities in Charleston area

I have been working as an RN in an Indiana state hospital for the past 2+ years. My wife is getting ready to start her last semester of her BSN program and has shown an interest in psych nursing as well. We both love the Carolinas and are particularly interested in Charleston for many reasons; the ocean, laid back southern living, climate, and the overall aesthetics. Does anyone here have any info on psych jobs in the area? I'd be interested in any input regarding pay, benefits, types of facilities, etc. Also, what do you like best about living in or around Charleston? Worst? Thanks for your time...........chris

OF course the biggest would be MUSC in downtown Charleston.

Truthfully I don't know of others, but MUSC would be a starting point. Salaries should be pretty much in the $30 range, but again I am not sure.

Check out MUSC's Institute of Psychiatry in Charleston. www.MUSC.edu will give you all kinds of info.

As far as living in Charleston there is plenty to love. The weather is great as are the people. It is a beautiful town with so much to see and do. There is Colonial, Revolutionary War, and Civil War history. There are beaches and boating. Exqusite cuisine...especially if you love seafood.
