Is this your last semester? I try to learn information by trying to find a way to understand it, and found that to be much easier then memorizing. Although some things require memorization.

Wow that really sucks that you only have 8 weeks. We have 16 weeks and I feel like there is a lot of info we have to learn in that amount of time. I can't imagine learning it all in fewer.

It is impossible to learn and to know everything by heart. What is important is to read as much as you can and learn it ( do not memorize). I have learned that memorizing can only work on those classes that you do not need in your field. If you memorize( instead of learning) nursing assignments, books, lectures for tests you are going to struggle in the real world. Anyway, I had 7 week nursing classes and I swear I never been so stressed in my life. I can only say, keep reading ahead of time, DO NOT BE A LAST MINUTE PERSON, most importantly organize yourself and manage the time. When you finish that class, you will be pround of yourself. You can complain as much as you want, but complaining doesn't get us anywhere. We just have to do it and never give up.Good luck honey.

My school does 7 week classes. When you start the class for the first couple weeks you feel like you're just trying to memorize stuff, and that nothing is sinking in. By the end of my first flex I was really surprised at how much I had learned in such a short amount of time. I was really stressed about the hesi when school started, but I ended up scoring in the 96th percentile on a test based on a 16 week fundamentals course when mine was only 7 weeks. You can do it. Just stay up to date with your reading, make it to every class, and stay active in clinicals and lecture as much as possible. It will all start sinking in eventually.
wow thanks guys!!! yah this is my 2nd term and i do try to read my books ahead of time.. i duno we'll see what happens.
thanks for all the advice!!
