Sooo Confused/NCLEX passers

Published

HI

I graduate from a diploma program in May, I am not a great test taker so I am scared about NCLEX. I do 20 questions a day from a Davis disk, I also am reading and doing the questions in Saunders Ed3. We also have to take the Drexel 3 day review course after graduation. But we have to pass a Hesi exit exam before the school approves us to take the NCLEX.

The part I am confused about is which way to study. Do I follow Suzannes way or do I just pick a book and follow that or go online and do a qbank or now NCLEX themselves has a online review. I don't know what is best.

Please advise.

Thanks

My first tip is excellent in passing the Exit HESI.

For anything else, that is going to be your choice, but if you have issues with test taking, I would recommend only one book.

Specializes in RN- Med/surg.

I used multiple types of study..but the one I thought the closest to NCLEX was the Saunders CD.

Good luck to you!

I liked Mosby's study cards too. THey were portable and easy to use. I brought them everywhere with me so no minute was wasted.

I have started your first tip and I have been doing OK with it. Thanks for the advise.

I also was required to pass HESI. I ordered the HESI review book, but I had Saunders 3rd edition. I found Saunders book more helpful than HESI book, but HESI cd questions are more like the HESI exam. The HESI CD only allows you to take each test 5 times and the book is about 45.00.In l ref to nclex, you are killing 2 birds with 1 stone because while you are preparing for HESI you are also preparing for NCLEX. :heartbeat

You Have To Find What's Best For You To Do. I Used The Hesi Book, saunders And Exam Cram To Study. I Also Used The Disc And Nclex 2500. I Tested Myself Everyday With 100 Questions And My Test Stopped At 85 Questions. And The Exit Hesi Is So Much Harder Than The Nclex Itself.

Good Luck To You
