i am a new grad (december) and started working per diem at an outpatient surgical center on march 1st. right now i work three days per week, but after the employees who are on leave come back in about 6 weeks, i will only work about 1 day per week. so, i am still looking for a full time job.
is it too soon to list this job on my resume? i'm leaning towards it is fine to do so, since it will say "per diem" the potential new employer will understand that i'm not quitting that job so soon, just looking for a full time job in addition. or do i just leave it off?
also, in my state they usually ask for clinical info for new grads... currently on my resume i have it listed before my past work experience. if i list this new job, should i keep the work experience underneath clinical experience, or put the work experience first?
thanks!

Yes, list it ... but be sure to list the date you started that job. (e.g. March, 2012 - present)
Yes, it should be listed under a section for "Work Experience" or "Previous Employment" etc. while your school clinicals should be listed under a different section for "School Experiences" (or some similar title).
Include it all, just be sure that no one is going to be confused by having 2 clearly labled sections.
thanks so much! i guess my post wasn't clear- i do have two headings, one "clinical experience" and "employment", i was just wondering if i should put the clinical section first, or the employment section first.

Well, you are working right now, so I think putting your current job first would make the most sense. Put the clinical experience in it's own category (like you said you did) underneath it. :)

List your new job! I wondered the same thing when I got my first nursing job (which was a part time temporary job). I listed my new job on my resume a week after I started working because I was still looking for full time employment. I noticed a huge difference in response to my resume.I immediately started getting called for multiple interviews a week! I don't know if it was just coincidence, but that was not happening before.
I feel like listing that first nursing job I had (for only one week at that point) made all the difference in the world!
