Sonoma State University FNP fall 2025

Published

Hi guys! I am starting a thread for us!

I just submitted my application. I did a webinar with [MODERATOR EDIT OF NAMES, PER TERMS OF SERVICE] and they seemed super nice. The webinar was informative!

I am trying to find information on previous application statistics, but I can't find anything 😅

Last year's FNP 2024 group chat said that the ones that got calls were admitted. Everyone of them. Is there some indication, Mitsucar, that you might not be getting admitted after getting a phone call? What did they say?

We talked about finding preceptors, orientation day on Apr. 26 (be there unless you're dead basically), the courses to be offered in Summer session, and basic application questions. No indications of a negative experience here, but not an acceptance either. Let's hope for a good outcome one for everyone!

I am feeling discouraged 😩 I did not get a call. I have chatted with him over email since I attended the Q and A in December. Our last convo was me asking about open university and the timeline for application. This was his response. "Admission evaluations start next week and I hope to have conversations with candidates in March and final offers, wait list, and denials done by April 1. I have a meeting with the Dean next week to see how much I can expand the program. Stay tuned,” (this was on 2/20)

I'm discouraged too, no call. What program did you apply to? The 2 year or 3 year program?

Anyone else get a call?

Hi! I've also applied for fall 2025 FNP program and haven't received a call yet either. Fingers crossed that we hear something soon!

Still nothing for me, what about everyone else?

I got a call yesterday. Same experience as Mistucar. I know he is doing these calls while out of town, so don't give up hope! April 1st is deadline. Anyone live around Sacramento who has applied?

Me. I'm based out of Roseville / Rocklin!

I got a call last week, and he said a lot. First, he said that he could not offer me a position that the college had to, but I could infer whatever I wanted that the director of the program was calling me on his cell phone at night.  He also said that there were 44 positions and over 150 applied. I don't know if those 44 positions are for both the 2-year and 3-year programs or just the 2-year program that I applied for. There was the April 26th, be there for the orientation. Do I have any preceptors that can help me with my clinical rotations? The Summer class thing that he mentioned, but I am confused about that because he mentioned three different classes that were very abbreviated from 16 weeks to 8 weeks or 2 weeks for one class.  I am sure that I am missing something, but the conversation was not very ambiguous at all. I took away from it that I was in the program and that I was just waiting for Sonoma State to send me a letter. Sonoma State is out on Spring break right now, so I assume that it will be next week sometime.
