Sonoma State Fall 2018

I noticed there was no thread on Fall 2018 applicants so I wanted to start one and get through this together!!

My GPA is 4.0,my TEAS is 89.3, I am already CNA certified, and I get local service points. I have yet to submit my nursing application because I am working on the two essays right now, but hopefully things will go well!!

has anyone gotten their general acceptances yet? i know a lot of incoming freshman who already got their acceptances but i feel like mine is taking forever.

I called the administration office a few weeks ago regarding general acceptance into SSU. They informed me that nursing students are only notified after they are accepted into the actual nursing program. I'm assuming this is because only 24 students are accepted into the program and it may be wasted time to review applicants who will not be accepted into the actual program.

Ahh makes sense. Still sucks though since they are my number one I want to hear something ASAP lol. Sonoma Chico and Long Beach are mt top three

Has anyone received their acceptance or denial letter yet? I am still waiting, I know they told us by 4/1, but I'm curious to see if anyone else has gotten anything?

I have not heard back either way yet. I do know that SSU's spring break is this week. Based on prior years notifications the emails seem to follow the week after spring break.

I went into the nursing department office during spring break, and they told me that even though they had states 4/1, they planned to have decisions sent out by the end of this week, though they followed that statement by saying worst case scenario 4/2....

Thank you for that information!!!! I'm dying to hear back! This is my 3rd year trying to get into a nursing program! Science pre-req GPA 4.0 overall GPA 3.9 TEAS score 84.7. I feel really good about my essays, but I know last year SSU had over 300 applicants and only 24 seats!! Eek! Good luck everyone!

Yes, the anticipation is brutal. 3 years of applying with those good stats is a little discouraging to hear. I have an overall gpa of 3.6, prereq gpa 3.8, teas 90.7. Best of luck to you and everyone else! Fingers crossed!
