Sonoma State Fall 2018

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

I noticed there was no thread on Fall 2018 applicants so I wanted to start one and get through this together!!

My GPA is 4.0,my TEAS is 89.3, I am already CNA certified, and I get local service points. I have yet to submit my nursing application because I am working on the two essays right now, but hopefully things will go well!!

Hey everyone, I also received my acceptance email today! I am beyond excited to start the program and am glad to meet my future classmates. To those who may not have heard anything yet, or were not chosen, never give up or lose hope. The more you try, the more you will succeed and achieve. We are all meant to be what we were destined to be, at different times in our life. Best of luck to all on their voyage.

Anyone applying for Fall 2019? Also, Anyone who got in last year, did you have to have 60 transferrable units to be accepted? I have a previous Bachelor's Degree, but when I input all of my classes, it says I only had 41 transferrable units, which is odd since my degree was 120+ units.

I'm also wondering if my chem course qualifies or if I'll have to retake. I emailed the school but they have not responded. Does anyone know if they accept any college Chem course?

Hey guys, I will be applying to SSU's nursing program for Fall 2020. Was wondering if you guys could let me know what the essay questions were for you guys? Thank you! ?

Hi there, I only know the 2 questions that I chose to write on. They give you 6 or so options and you choose 2 to write essays for. These are the 2 I chose and I applied in 2016 & 2017.

1. Beyond a caring and compassionate nature, what key attributes must a baccalaureate nurse possess in order to excel in the field?

2. While the majority of patient care takes place within hospital walls, what factors outside these institutions impact patient care?

I can't remember the exact wording of the questions, but they were something to this effect. Hope this helps and hope other people have more answers for you! Good luck :)

Thank you so so much! @NurseEmma13
