Someone please help!!! Any info is helpful

HELLO,

I am currently studying for the Hesi A2 entrance exam, and I need all the help I can get. I sit for the exam this upcoming week, so anyone who has taken the exam please feel free to leave advise, study information, study guides... literally anything will be useful. I am taking the exam at Prairie State College...a Chicagoland suburb so if anyone has any info on this particular school (or any school for that matter) I would greatly appreciate it! Thanks a bunch.:nurse:

Always,

Aspiring Nurse!!

Hi. I don't have any info on your school however, hopefully you've seen the other posts about the HESI entrance exam.

I would add that my experience with it was definately about the study guide. Get the HESI study guide. That and having recently taken anatomy and physiology class was the best help. Oh also, know the math; algebra ratio and percentages. If you study, you'll pass. Good luck!

I Studied the Hesi guide and passed the entrance exam, however on the exit Hesi I didn't study the guide (d/t finals) and almost passed but not quite. Thankfully at that time the school didn't require you to pass the Hesi in order to graduate (now they do). Definitely study the Hesi Review book.

Many Blessings to you

:paw Thanks need2care and Rn

Hello Striving LPN,

I passed with an 88, I was aiming for at least a 90, but hopefully my prereqs will help gain me extra points when it comes to the ranking process :)

An 88! Thats great!!! I only received a 83 but finished all my pre-req's and general ed courses with mostly A's and some B's so hopefully that will get me in the program this fall. Good luck to you and hope to see you this fall in the program!

That is still good!! Do you received extra points for scoring above a certain score? What school are you applying to?

I'm applying at PSC. I received 5 extra points for the score I received. I think 90 and above would have been 10 extra points. You applied at Prairie State as well?

yes I did apply to PSC as well, so is the 83 your score including the extra 5 points? Do you know when they will be mailing out the letters?

No. 83% is my over all score for all four sections of the HESI. According to the info given to us during the orientation if you scored I think 80-84% is 5 extra ranking points and higher than 84% is an additional 10 ranking points. Adding up all of my ranking points I have a total of 130 (I think.lol). What's your rank? Did you attend orientation?

You and I scored the same percentage on our exams! I just added my 5 points on to my total already :) I think my overall total points add up to 168... Yes, I did attend orientation. I can't wait. I am praying that I get accepted! I'm so nervous!! I am just waiting for my doorbell to ring, and praying that I don't receive a letter in the mail!!!!! Did you attend the morning or evening orientation. Did you complete the A&P II and Micro yet?
