With kids and unemployed wife, I need to improve my financial situation. I love my current job. But I still want to find a RN job in Phoenix that pays well. I will like to move into a house instead of living in an apartment. Your suggestions are highly appreciated. Thank you! Ken

You didn't mention how long you've been an RN or anything, that could make a difference.
I know County was giving a sign on bonus- enough for a down payment on a house, but I'm not sure if they are still doing it. CHW pays pretty well and so does Banner, they're both at the top end of the scale from what I've seen. Stay away from any of the Abrazo facilities if it's pay you're interested in, they're a 'for-profit' organization. My friend just started as a new grad at JCL and started out making pretty good money, higher than Banner or CHW starts new grads. I've heard that Mt. Vista pays pretty well (it's a weird pay scale though from what my friend was telling me)
I know it's tough trying to find a job where the pay is great AND the hospital is a great place to work. What area do you work in? That can make a difference too. Also it depends on where you live as well, with gas prices the way they are you may want to look at hospitals near you.
Good luck in your search.
Thank you Kelli for the good advices. I have been working at Med/Surg and Tele for 4 years. It is hard to find a balance between pay and working condition. I may work for JCL if they pay the best. I heard it is a good hospital.
