Hi future nurses!

I just got my acceptance email today at Solano! I think we should all communicate through here for questions and what not. I tried to look at previous forums, but they did not have info about when clinicals and lectures are. I want to find out this info before accepting the position in case I get accepted from another program that is better for me. Especially since I live 2 hours away.

I think I may know the issue. I got curious and looked at the email list. The first 11 names are random, then the remaining 36 are alphabetical by first name, only making it to the letter D. It took some extrapolating but I think that may be what happened.

That’s weird the alternate list starts with D. And goes to K then ends with an E.

Well, I guess we will wait and see what happens.

Just sucks it happened to begin with.

Can you tell me how many names are on the alternate list?

I counted 30 emails on the alternate list.

Sooo 66 names made it through 11 letters of the alphabet. Roughly 150 applicants then?

I'm not counting the first 11 names because it appears that they were actually randomized.

It just doesn't make sense, when they were originally supposed to send out responses in January. Yet, somehow there was still an error. I wonder how many people actually received this email, if it was everyone on both email lists or only some.

My friend who was on the alternate list, also received the error email. So stressful..

When I went to meeting they said they get about 150 applicants a year. I would assume the 1st 11 made it in. Or they are going to redo the whole thing.
