Starting a chain for SoCal Providence RN Residency Program - Feb 2026 Cohort!

I was able to be seen "working" and physically gave my resume to the unit manager before I graduated.. also, my preceptor has been there awhile and is well-known. She definitely advocated for me and I truly believe that if it wasn't for all of these factors working in my favor, I would not have gotten an interview. 😕 I'm definitely grateful, but I know there are some amazing nursing graduates who are going to make the best nurses if given a chance - they just had clinical rotations elsewhere. It's SO hard in SoCal as a new grad...
I am happy it got your foot in the door though!! Good luck on the interview. 🙂 Do you know if having clinicals at other Providences, not the ones we applied to, helps? Or they are specifically looking for graduates who had clinicals at that exact location

I'm honestly not sure. I applied to other Providences and so far have only heard back from the one I rotated to for clinical.

Congrats on the interview! Would you mind sharing some of your experience? I'm external and applied to the OC locations. I wasn't able to apply until 7:30-8:00AM though. Trying not to get my hopes up just yet!
