I'm starting to think the same thing...

Are you a current caregiver at the hospital? Is that hospital your first choice? Previous work experience? Can you commit to flexibility in scheduling and the inability to take time off?
I think that's it..
Internals always get priority but it also depends on how you answer the questions if you're not OK working night shift or alternating weekends then I think I don't think they will proceed with scheduling. Also I have been told they usually have a number of external hire number they have to fulfill. I think they're still sending out interview links.

I heard new grads from Community College with clinicians from Province get hired first .... Sadly but I'm hoping for a miracle
Ya I got nothing back even with 5 months ICU experience 🙁. It really pays to be a caregiver there it seems. Plus based off my interview from last year, the hiring managers were ignoring the people who didn't have clinicals there (barely even looked at our resumes) and blatantly only talking to the ones that did, and they were the only ones who got hired. I'm not sure if this is all the locations but my classmate was there too and thats the vibe they got as well. If you guys can I would say be a CNA there or something asap, if you realllly wanna work there

Hey, yea.. I hate to agree with the previous comment but I think it's true. I had a clinical rotation and completed my preceptorship there. I was able to be seen "working" and physically gave my resume to the unit manager before I graduated.. also, my preceptor has been there awhile and is well-known. She definitely advocated for me and I truly believe that if it wasn't for all of these factors working in my favor, I would not have gotten an interview. 😕 I'm definitely grateful, but I know there are some amazing nursing graduates who are going to make the best nurses if given a chance - they just had clinical rotations elsewhere. It's SO hard in SoCal as a new grad...

I applied to Torrance and San Pedro and haven't gotten anything yet. I did OB clinicals at Torrance and my month long preceptorship at San Pedro. Also have been working in pre-op and PACU as an RN for 2/3 months.
