Hey guys! I'm starting this thread for the SoCal Kaiser Permanente RN Residency Program's October 2024 Cohort. Hopefully we can update each other on application processes, interviews, and job offers!

Applications open up today, July 22 for external applicants! Good luck to all of us (-:

Thanks for the heads up. Can you let us know what you had to do for that? Is it just a questionnaire or do we have to upload anything.

Thank god for this group! I panicked when I saw people saying this because I didn't see anything in my email. Checked my trash and I deleted it this morning! 🤦🏻‍♀️ It came from Brandy. Check your junk! I learned my lesson and have to slow down now that I'm waiting on important emails.

What is everyone's submission status? I'm just confused as to why mine says "no longer considered" since the day I applied, yet I received the snapshot this morning? I am not sure if I applied to the correct application (external).

Did you apply to West LA? The job number 1275527 was meant for internal applicants I think. That's the only one that says "not in consideration" for me anymore. They posted a different one for external applicants. That posting and the other locations I applied to still have me as under consideration.

LOL yes I applied to that one and 1293023! They both say "not in consideration" and have said that since I submitted the app a couple days ago, but I got the snapshot today so I am so confused LOL.

I just completed my snapshot. I was kind of bummed San Diego (SDMC) wasn't listed as an option. I chose Zion as my first and San Marcos for my second choice.

Anyone know what is the difference between part-time and full-time new grad RN residency?

Just saw you have to have taken your NCLEX by 8/2 and mine isn't scheduled until 8/24. Sucks since it's not even a start date til October 😞

I just did the career snapshot. Do you think I am cooked to get an interview if I have no exposure to Kaiser (since they asked a lot of questions pertaining to whether we had exposure to Kaiser, I.e., externships, clinical rotations)?

Good luck everyone!!
I have applied in the past for LAMC and there were like 8ppl in the panel interview. 😳😳

😭😭😭 OMG no way ! what was your interview like ??

I didn't get an offer 😕

But it wasn't as intimidating bc someone told me beforehand that there will be that many. So I was kinda prepared for it?? 🤷🏻‍♀️😆 It was still daunting to have so many eyes 👀 looking at you. They were all very nice though.

What type of questions did they ask? Also, do you have any advice on how to prepare?

I saw that as well. Looks like the part is only 24 hours and the full-time is 36. I was concerned when I saw this too.
