Members are discussing upcoming employee orientations and new grad residency programs at Kaiser Permanente. They are sharing information about schedules, units, and application dates for future cohorts. Some are also seeking advice on other programs to apply to if they were not accepted into the Kaiser program.

Anyone knows if we need to get our EKG and ACLS certification before applying?
You do not need to, the application states that a BLS is enough, however during my interview they did ask a bunch of ACLS questions regarding the patient, so those who had their ACLS got a leg up during the interview process, and sadly I got left behind I'd say. So going back, it's not needed but it'll be beneficial

If they follow the same pattern as this year, we should have a march, July and October again. The application goes out about 3 months before the start if the cohort. So there's a good chance it'll be sometime in December for the applications

Thank you! I'm graduating in December and was wondering where the application was!

Hi! Just wondering if you'll also be at the new employee orientation on Monday for Kaiser Panorama? Also did they specify what unit you were hired in?

Hi! Were you offered a position for Kaiser pan and attending the new employee orientation this coming Monday?

They send out the info when you're all cleared to start I think so I got mine today and it just says the info for orientation on Monday. Hopefully we get more info on our schedules then 😅
I do remember the recruiter saying it's all KP orientation for the first wk.

Hi! I will be at the employee orientation on Monday. I was not told officially what unit I'll be working in but I am pretty sure it will be med surg/oncology. I got an email from the floor administrator today and it say's med/surg oncology. Good luck everyone! Hope you all get placed at the unit of your choice!!

Awesome! Was the email in addition to the one regarding orientation on Monday? I haven't received any email from the unit. Did they provide you with a schedule? My apologies for all the questions.
