So which semester is the hardest???

Hi Everyone,

I am starting the nursing program in August. A friend of mine and my niece did great the first semester in nursing school, but both failed med/surg the second semester! What is everyone's input on this? Is there a particular semester that is much harder to pass? What areas do I really need to concentrate on to be successful? Any input is appreciated. :)

I thought fundamentals was the most difficult and required the most studying. Med/Surg I, Peds, and OB were by far the least stressful, so far. I have two more quarters to complete (med/surg II & III, and leadership), so my current is open to change.

At my CC alot of people failed med surg in second semester.

Both my niece and friend that failed were at community colleges (WCCC and Henry Ford). I'm just keeping my fingers crossed that I do well.
