So much for "step down year" in TPAPN!

So, I was all happy when I received a final year step down email stating there would be less selections. Things have been super tight with money this past year and I was excited not to be spending 150-200 per month testing..

Since receiving the email December 19, I have been selected 3 times now. That makes 5 selections in less than a month. These dates are closer together than any other selections throughout my monitoring. I was selected Dec 4, 11, 21, 29, and now today the 3. What the HECK? Were they just trying to psych me out?

What would you guys do in this situation? Should I email my case manager politely and ask about it? I feel like she will just tell me "oh it's random" and then I will be on her radar!

UGHHHHHH

Hi Kel,

Yes it has, for sure. But, every once in a while they will throw me a curve ball and test me pretty close together. You know how much they want to catch me doing something wrong so they can suck more money out of me! Congrats on step down year. I have like 130 days left or something.. Another person on here posted that her CM said that she would be tested 18 times in the last year, if that helps. If that is true, I have 8 left to go..

Congrats to you, you're almost done.

So much for step down. Four tests in 40 days. Tested this past Friday and now today. Don't know if it was the expectation of having less, but it feels like more. If that magic "18" test in step down year is true they better slow it down. 14 left with 10 months to go.

I hear ya Kel. They were doing the same thing to me in July/Aug. Now, here it is 36 days later and I haven't tested. Longest for me to go ever. If that 18 tests in the last year is true I should have 3 more by December. It is all so strange.

My last year was once a month except for two months it was twice a month. I had 14 tests in my last year.

32 days since my last test. If it's 18 a year during step down, they only have 9 left to hit me with before July 19. It will be interesting to see how it measures out.

They will probably hit you with 3 in a row pretty quickly. That seemed to be the pattern for me the last year. I did have 18 in my final year and was not tested again after that. But, as some on here said they got out early, I did not. I had to contact my CM on my completion date to verify it was my last day. I never received a completion letter through email as others did. Also, I had to log in for 2 extra days after my completion date while waiting on her to deactivate my account. Needless to say, the last week of my monitoring was stressful. I would have gone crazy if I had been selected after my completion date!

I am betting that you just described how it will be for me to a tee. Mentally prepared. I was thinking the other day I'll probably get hit with a test my last day and be waiting extra time for results. After 2 1/2 years I've come to not be aggravated much by the aggravating. If that makes any sense.
