hello everyone,
thank you for answering my questions, you all have made my life way easier. so i am going back to school to get my bsn degree!
i live in mi and have a bs in micro degree already. where can i apply for 2009? i still have to take the prereqs so i guess msu is out. i was looking at wsu, ou and uofd? any other universities with an accelerated 2nd degree program in or around michigan (oh, pa, etc)? i have a 3.15 gpa, tons of research (3 publications) & volunteer experience.

Apply to them all, chances are only one will accept you, its beyond competitive to get into nursing school, it will increase your odds.

I completely agree! Apply to at least four schools since they are so competitive! Good luck!!! :heartbeat

I do agree with the above statement. You don't need to apply to 10 schools. You're just wasting money on application fees. Applying to 4-5 schools is a good number.
Remember, the admitted applicant does not necessarily have good grades, plenty of health-related experience, or lots of research experience. Not everyone who is admitted has a GPA of 3.8 or higher. There are other factors that may influence the admissions committee decision to accept/reject you.
