So many SATA!

Published

So I just took NCLEX for RN. It shut off at 75, and this is my second time. I am so worried because I mostly had SATA and pharm. I thought I have read that if you have a lot of SATA, then that is a good thing. Does anyone know if that is true? :'(

Do the PVT and see how it goes. Most likely you passed !Which review course helped you most?

I did the virtual online ATI tutor. Have you heard if SATA is a good thing? I felt so prepared and then I felt like the questions were nothing like Kaplan, ATI, or Saunders.

Yea I've read SATA are higher level questions. Unless this has changed? Im using virtual ati now but my tutor takes to long to reply for this green light. I test in a few days. Curious What were you scores like in VATI?

Nursing practice is full of SATA :). Very few situations in real practice are limited to single answers or application of only one intervention or assessment. This is why NCLEX developed the format to test new grads for that skill.

I passed boards yesterday and only received roughly 10 SATA. I was worried because everyone says SATA are a good barometer that you are doing well. I think the test is just extremely variable. I think the fact that you finished in 75 and feel the questions were difficult is indicative that you performed well and will pass... Do the PVT ... It works! I did it yesterday, got the good popup and now I am an RN!

My tutor took a while to reply back to some of my messages as well. My scores were so bad at first. On the med/surg assessment I only got like 52% the first time but after the focused review, it went up to like 65%. I can't remember what my final NCLEX comprehensive predictor score was but I remember that my tutor told me I had a 90% chance of passing, which I didn't feel was high enough. BUT...I finally got up enough guts and did the PVT and got the good pop up...I am still in shock!!

Good luck Dreazy86!!

I got up the guts to do the PVT, and got the good pop up. I am still in dreamland mode where it doesn't seem real!! Congrats!!

How many SATA did you get? What do you mean by NCLEX is not similar to KAPLAN?
