Don't get discouraged! My first time I failed it in 92 questions.. in other words, I failed so bad that the computer didn't even give me the chance to answer 200 questions because I had gotten too many wrong . I knew my material, but I'm an awful test taker and let my nerves get the best of me by second guessing myself and reading too much into the question. Also, I didn't study nearly as much as I should have. I used 2 study books my second time.. Saunders & Kaplan and gave myself about 6 weeks to study. I promised myself at least a few hours a day, and sometimes with a break on the weekends. I read through both books (just skimmed over stuff that I knew well) and made flashcards along the way, which REALLY helped! I put them in categories, for example I had pharmacology, med surg, geriatrics, pediatrics, mother-infant, nutrition, general health.. and whenever I had free time I went through them! At work, on lunch breaks, before I went to sleep.. I would pick a category and go with it. My second time I got to 90 questions and passed. good luck!! :)

I honestly feel so bad. I studied so hard using the Saunders Comprehensive Exam Review 5th edition, made so many sacrifices, prayed constantly, and did numerous questions. I honestly feel so discouraged, but I feel as if I can definitely pass the second time around now that I see how the NCLEX questions are presented to you. I just need some advice on how to study again, and how to approach it. I feel somewhat depressed but I know I can bring myself back up again. Thank-you in advance.
