I recently graduated with my MA degree. I figured I better just keep going for my RN now or I might never do it. I am in intro to bio, A&P and about to drop the psychology class because its the wrong one. I already had this one, they won't refund me either. They said they only do that for very rare situations. Guess not paying attention to class numbers isn't one. Lesson learned.. Anyways. I was studying at least 2 hours a night after school and I also work 40 plus hours. Starting this week it will be closer to 50-56 hours a week depending on the needs at work if they require OT. I strart my PRN position so that's included the two days I'll do that, then my other job. I go to school 6 hours a week and try to study as much as I can. I have zero energy, which I talked to my doctor about with no help. I am not doing well at all in my classes and I just don't know what to do. I've considered just doing an LPN program but I don't know. I have no idea how to do any more than I do. I study as much as I can... Its just so discouraging. Any advice, tips...maybe I should hold off for awhile?

Do you absolutely have to work as much as you do? It sounds like you're spreading yourself too thin and might need to look at letting something go. Only you could decide whether that's work less hours, go to school fewer hours, or wait until later to start a nursing program.
My job I've had won't let me go under 28 hours for my schedule but they require ot monthly. For example first two weeks in feb was 14 extra hours last two is 10.hours. Then they call events which means on those days you have to work, they did 11 in about 9 days. That's what makes it harder, the other prn job seems smart to get into the healthcare field. 24 hours just isn't doable when I pay $330 a month for classes. That's why I'm trying to pay down some of my bills that can knock off my monthly bill amount too. I just don't know... I've literally stressed myself to tears over all this multiple times. My bf says clinic job and school should be number one.. But if I want to pay off bills he told me do that too. Basically whatever I want to do lol. Not much help. Ha

I would get a second opinion on the no energy. I work close to 60 hrs a week, and take 3 classes and have a family. Granted I am able to study at work in my office so that is a huge help. There are some brief moments of discouragement, for instance I recently found out through the nursing adviser that my school only offers the TEAS exam once a year, however sometimes you have to plow through it
I asked my doctor and she pretty much blew it off. I'm tired 24/7 no matter how much I sleep. I may have to find someone who will actually look into the issue for me. It seems odd at 27 I'm so tired I barely can last until 830pm before wanting to go to bed.
My wife was the same exact way, she started taking a multi vitamin and it has helped a lot. I'm not suggesting this for your situation, just mentioning it.
