This is absolutely one of the perks of being a school nurse! Here in Texas, they are few and far between but we average 1-2 per year. So far this year we have a little flurry but nothing to stick or cancel/delay school. I just L-O-V-E the realization that I can stay snuggled in bed for a few extra hours instead of braving the cold and ice.
Good luck Pugmom, I'll keep my fingers crossed for ya!
We're home today, and judging by the pace of the snowfall, we probably will be tomorrow too. I'm not "caught up" enough to have this luxury, so I'll have to work on a few planned days off.
I just hope all these early snow days don't come back to bite us in the butt. I'd hate to still be in school at the end of May!
Had a very relaxing day yesterday-- sat on my couch, watched movies (I'll give Julie and Julia 3.5 stars-- I had higher expectations), and watched my kids play in the 10 inches of snow. There's a rotation system, so that was our free snow day (make up the next one). We're back today, but the wind chill is -20. I'd LOVE to be in a state that never had snow days!!

Ok ok ok-- as much as I complain sometimes, one of the best parts of school nursing is SNOW DAYS!! We're supposed to get a good foot of the stuff up here in Wisconsin, and everyone is anticipating the day off! (fingers crossed fingers crossed!!)
