Six Things You Should Know About
Aruptio Placenta vs. Placentae Previa
Think of yourself in a movie theatre watching a movie preview. The seat is a soft cushion. The movie is a scary thriller. Now, put previa (from placenta previa) together with preview (in movie preview). The result leads to a memorable technique as follows:
1-2: You are at a movie preview sitting in a soft seat. Placenta previa has soft abdomen. Conversely, aruptio placentae has a rigid abdomen
3-4: In a movie preview, there is possible blood on the screen. Also, in placenta previa, it is possible to see blood. But, aruptio placentae, has no visible blood.
5-6: A movie preview gives you no physical pain. Similarily, placenta previa has no physical pain. However, aruptio placentae has pain as a symptom.
The differences between these two conditions can be confusing, thus, I hope these tips will help.
