Hello fellow pre-nursing students! I thought that it might be helpful to start a thread for SJSU Spring '15 applicants. How about we all share our impaction scores to get an idea of how competitive this applicant pool will be?

My impaction score: 7.49

GPA (for 5 prerequisites): 3.29

TEAS: 96.7%

Anyone receive letters yet? I heard they come out this week! Also, from judging by the activity of this thread, doesn't seem as if many people applied.. Any updates?

I am getting so anxious. I haven't received any notification in the mail at all. Has anyone heard anything? It should be any day now, I would guess.

Hi everyone! My mail came (I live in the Evergreen area of San Jose) and nothing was in it. My friend went to the nursing office and they told her notifications were sent Friday, yesterday and today. The person in the office said not to worry if we don't get anything by Thanksgiving. Has anyone received anything?

I just recieved an acceptance letter. My impaction score was 7.76 and I live in the San Jose/Milpitas area!

Hi again all,

Here I am freaking out at the eleventh hour! AHH! can someone give me a quick breakdown of how they calculated their GPA for the 5 prerequisites (units/grade points) ? I used the SJSU GPA calculator but I would like to see an example from someone on this site. Thanks so much for your help!

Congrats to everyone! I'm a little confused by when to take the drug screening though. One letter says by December 12, but another says Jan 6-24.. I'm concerned because I'm leaving for the holidays and won't be back until mid Jan!
