Hello fellow pre-nursing students! I thought that it might be helpful to start a thread for SJSU Spring '15 applicants. How about we all share our impaction scores to get an idea of how competitive this applicant pool will be?

My impaction score: 7.49

GPA (for 5 prerequisites): 3.29

TEAS: 96.7%

Yes, Sjsu only looks at impaction score. However, we don't know what the cutoff score is yet. All we have is the scores from previous semesters to estimate :)

What if my score is close to the cutoff but still above it? I'm asking because I know SJSU only accepts 60 students a semester and I'm worried that more people will have higher scores than me.

Also, I am applying to the program in the spring 2015 so I am hoping to start in the fall :)

What were the cut off scores from precious semesters? I couldn't find applicant pool stats anywhere

From a previous thread, it was said to be about 7.35

yes. Cutoff score=last person on the acceptance list.

Ok thank you! For my application in the spring, my score will most likely be 7.56, but I still need to finish Micr and retake the TEAS. Good luck everyone :)

Woa, you guys are amazing with all super high impaction score!

Mine are: GPA = 3.84

Teas = 86.7 %

=> Impaction score ~ 7.6

Don't know if I get a chance, considering all of your scores @@!

*Are you guys using the SJSU GPA calculator to calculate your GPA? Sorry, this might be a dumb question but I just want to know my precise GPA!

No, I calculated my GPA on my own. You know, the average for 5 prerequisites.

However, I transfer from a college that run by quarter system. I don't know if they gonna convert my quarter units into semester units... It may cause a little bit difference.

Why you guys got the Teas score so high???!!! You all brainie, I'm so nervous now T__________T

Yes, use the SJSU GPA calculator to calculate your GPA for the 5 prerequisites. Be sure to account for +/- i.e. A-,B+, etc.
