Thanks, I had 135 - I only took one class at SJRCC so I missed out on 16 points.

#2 on wait list. had 129 points when i applied sept 2008, denied, then took my CNA for 20 more points for summer 2009 application.

2008nurse2b- Did you ever get called as an alternate????? I'm asking because I made the alternate list for the fall.

Anybody that didn't get in...did you see the new points system on the nursing application online? Is it bettet or worse for you?

Well- I don't know. In one sense it's better because I only took one class at SJRCC and that was the problem for me with their point system , but worse becasue we lose all but five points for CNA and I do not have my LPN. Now it is recommended we take "Professions Of Caring" course for an extra five points which they do not offer for Summer B. FutureRNat 52, did you apply for August Palatka start?

I am applying for OP Spring. My points went from 155 to 134 with new points system. I have CNA, BS, only 1 class at SJRCC. I am really upset and am thinking about a different school.

I am looking at FCCJ as well. I have not had a good experience with SJRCC in any sense - From admissions/registration to the nursing department. Not one department is on the same page,it is ridiculous.

Hi. I too am frustrated with SJRCC and have set my sites at other schools, particulary Daytona State, which I plan on enrolling in their January program thanks to their "no waitlist" policy. In the past, I have applied for SJRCC's program 3 consecutive enrollment periods and and only once did I make the waiting list (#7). I grew tired of the built up anticipation after submitting my paperwork and then receiving the disappointing news. My advice to you is look at other surrounding programs. FCCJ does have a very good program. Good luck!
