Simmons University ABSN 2020

Hi! I am starting this forum to discuss the upcoming decisions that should be coming out in February for the Dix Scholars ABSN program at Simmons starting in September 2020. I know we have to get in to the program first but is anyone interested in taking the Pathophysiology class early (end of May)? I'm hoping they offer it.

Congratulations to all!!  How is going so far?  I am in the middle of applying to their MSN program with a Jan.2021 start.

I just submitted my application for the MSN FNP program as well!

Hi! I applied to the 2021 Simmons ABSN program and currently waiting to hear back. Did you receive an email first and then a letter in the mail? Or did you just receive a letter in the mail?

Same here! I emailed one of the admin counselors this week and she said they'd email decisions by the end of next week! So, hopefully sooner than later. The wait is killing me LOL

As an aside, I've been curious about how many people applied to the 2021 ABSN since I haven't seen any threads about it on here...hopefully we'll both hear good news soon enough ?

Same! I've been looking through these discussion topics to see who else applied to the 2021 ABSN program. Every time my email goes off, I automatically check to see who's it from. 

Fingers crossed for next week!

I also applied for the ABSN program for Fall 2021! I submitted my application back in December, but have only gotten emails about my application being processed. Did they email you saying that your application was under review? Patiently waiting...hopefully good news for us all!

I only got one email after I submitted my app that was a generic "thank you for applying." Other than that, I haven't received other correspondence from admissions other than when I emailed to add a final grade. Yes, hopefully good news for all of us! I feel like this process has taken forever.

Hello everybody! I am new to this website and I figured I would post! I am a transfer nursing student, I have been doing community college prerequisites and applied to Simmons for fall 2021 back in December for the original priority deadline (Which I believe ended up getting extended to January 15.) I have not heard anything back yet, so I am hoping that this is a good thing? This is for the BSN, 2 year sequence. So, if anybody else has heard anything, or if anybody is in the same place as me?! I have been working so hard and really hope I can get into Simmons.  My status has been move to slate since December! Do we think that rejections would have already happened?

Hi Lauren, 

I applied to the 16-month ABSN program at Simmons and haven't heard either.  From what it seems, the ABSN program should be hearing by the end of this week, I'm sure it will be the same or closely following when those decisions will be emailed out. I know the admission counselors are super helpful and happy to answer questions. When I reached out at the beginning of January, my contact let me know that I would be hearing around the beginning of February. 

I keep checking my email and anxiously awaiting!

Me too! I keep checking my emails and status!! I bet it'll be the same, I'm pretty sure we had the same deadline?! Does your status also say the same? I would like to think if we got rejected we would have already?!

Its so nice to know people are in the same position as me!! So nice to meet you!
