Signs/Posters

Hey everyone! So I'm 2 months into my very first school nurse job and I'm loving it! I was wondering if anyone had any ideas or resources for signs or posters that you hang up or distribute for student/teacher education such as the 5 B's for coming to see the school nurse. I was looking for a teaching tool to empower some of my students to initiate self assessment of a fall, ect. Any good resources are much appreciated!

This doesn't exactly answer your content question, but I did something to involve the students.

For each grade "cluster" i.e. K-1, 2-3, 4-5 I coordinated with the art teacher to have students create semi-permanent "Issue of the month" backing posters to hang on the board outside my office. Then each month I'd mount information (each geared towards that age group) on different topics. I used velcro attachments to minimize the wear and tear on the bases that the students created.

The idea was that if students had a hand in creating the media, that maybe they'd be more likely to pay attention to it.

Check the P&G site too, they send free stuff. Also Colgate Smiles sends free stuff too!
