I have been on this forum a few months now and have found many heart warming stories of people going through the same thing I am. Many of the stories were uplifting and motivating just at the moment I needed them most. I want to extend a very warm thank you to each and everyone of you who have welcomed my comments and even prayed for me and with me on my journey to pass this test. I promise you that I did not ask for one prayer or well wish to which I did not return it to you in like manner.

I take my 3rd and final NCLEX tomorrow. If you have followed my postings you know I am was a nontraditional nursing student who graduated last year at the age of 56. I was following a my dream, my calling of being a nurse. Now, either way the test goes I will be returning to the workforce very soon so this is very likely the last time I will be taking the NCLEX. I simply cannot afford to keep taking it. That may be difficult for some of you to understand but it's the simple truth. I'm simply too old to start all over from scratch again and that is just about the position I have put myself in with continuing this quest of becoming a RN. With God's grace, mercy and some luck I will pass tomorrow and all will be fine but if not, I have to stick to plan B, like it or not.

I'm writing this to offer you this final bit of insight. DO NOT PUT OFF YOUR DREAMS...because one day it might be too late to make them happen. Aging is a funny thing. You don't feel the added years but the mirror shows they are there. One day you are 30 and raising kids and the next day you are 55 with grandchildren. It happens so quickly...you will see. Good luck to you all. May you all become the nurses you seek to be. Thank you for putting up with me (my rantings) the past few months. Now go be nurses!!!

Big hugs and best of luck in rocking NCLEX! I will be thinking of you and excited to hear your update.

Wishing you the best tomorrow!!

I've seen quite a few of your posts and not only do you seem extremely determined to pass this exam, but, you're always looking to provide support and help to others as well. You can pass this exam tomorrow, remember to breathe, and use that knowledge you have worked so hard to acquire.

Very best wishes to you, and of course, positive vibes.

I graduated in May, and one of my closest friends in the nursing program was 60 when we graduated! And she passed NCLEX this summer, just a week after I did! Positive vibes to you, and may your dream come true, too!!!!

Good luck to you and thank you for the words.
