Sierra College Fall 2016

Published

Hello everyone! Thought I'd start a thread for everyone who is also applying to Sierra College for Fall 2016. We can help each other stay updated with any news, I know it definitely helps me through this long waiting period! We can also share knowledge if anyone has any questions about the application process! Good luck to all :)))

I have been accepted to sierra college!!!

What time was your email? Curious if they are still sending them out. Congrats!!

Oh! Well I know how you feel, it's not my first round of applying.. And I'm not even in for sure. Wish you best of luck

Same here. Second year applying. I would recommend Sierra, though. My friend got in last year and loves it. In all honesty, I can't say much about Delta, just only what I've read. Really, thank you, and I wish you the best of luck :)

Thank you! I recieved it at 2:04 today. First time applying to sierra so those of you who think you cannot get in first time around still keep up hope!

Congrats!!! You should go buy a lottery ticket í ½í¸œ Frantically checking my emails in hopes they only sent out half and there are more to come. Denial. Hoping to be one of those lucky first timers...

Is it safe to say if you haven't received anything by now (7:40pm) that you didn't get in?

That's kind of my line of thinking. Congrats to those who got in and those who didn't, we will keep our heads up and keep going!

I got into Sierra College. What have you guys heard about this program?

It's my 3rd time applying in Sierra College. And I finished all my pre reqs there. I have an 84% chancellor score. But it seems I don't have any luck. I heard out of 300 qualified applicants only 40 are chosen. I am trying to go for other options. Any suggestions?

That sucks!! Sorry to hear that! I'm sure most of us here know how you feel!

Well try and apply to as many colleges as you can. American River College and Sacramento City College have similar programs. American River College accept applications twice a year, so you could try in the fall. Also depending on how far you are willing to drive, there's Delta college in Stockton, and one more in Yuba City.

Best of luck!!

Hey seemenan what things have you heard from Sierra College compared to Sac City College?

Hi everyone! As instructed in the acceptance email, I turned in my acceptance/intent to enroll in the nursing program at Sierra. Since that first email, I haven't heard anything from them. I know we have orientation on June 6th, but I'm wondering if anyone has received any other correspondence from Sierra? I turned in my intent to attend in person on May 2nd (it was due by Friday, May 6th), and I'm terrified it somehow got lost or some other worse case scenario that will hinder me from being able to begin the program this fall. Any input would be greatly appreciated to hopefully ease my anxiety. Thank you! :geek:
