Sick to my stomach

I'm embarrassed to post this, but need to get it out.....So, I went into the CPNRE yesterday with total confidence and walked out with none.

I studied, did the prep guide x2, read up on my weaknesses and still managed to end up with a good 30 questions that I could not answer with confidence. I did so well in school yet an exam that I found to be easier than some of the school exams blew me away. I know if I fail, I can do it again, but, then my Type A personality shines through and I can't help but want to pass the first time with shining colors. I'm going to sit here for the next 5-6 weeks chewing my nails and losing sleep over this!

So, if I did not pass the exam, would I still be able to practice?? I mean, I'm sure I could but if my future employer knows, they may not have confidence in me unless I prove otherwise, right?

Aaaaahhh! *Breathes*

The above post is true. I have read on the CNO website of a nurse being disciplined for sharing exam content. One just can't really be too careful of what is posted or even said. JMO.

Don't worry you probably passed. The reason you don't feel you did well is because the pass rate is at approximately 65% and many of us had to do a lot better than that in nursing school to pass nursing school. It is hard not to stress it believe me...been there done that. . Took the PN exam in US and Canada and RN exam in US and Canada...so been in your shoes plenty of times. And the reason you didnt remember about not disclosing info is probably due to anxiety too. The only people I have encountered that did not pass nursing licensing exams is people who have really bad test anxiety. It can really make it difficult to perform well. It is counter productive. I thought I failed every of the four exams I mentioned and I passed each and every one on the first try. I am sure you did too. Try to think of something else...it is a long wait!!!!!

On examination day you signed a candidate declaration, here is a replica of what you read (?) and signed before you wrote the exam

lol, you all need to relax, so up tight, the poor girl is just worried about her exam.

 I agree with 2bNurse-88, I'm sure the OP is just anxious. She didn't mean to reveal any questions. I hope everything turns out the way you want it!
