Hiii, I saw there wasn't a page for this yet. SO I decided to start one. Anyone submit their app yet? I just got accepted to SHSU and applied to the Woodlands campus. :)

I really want to hear some success stories! You guys post if y'all get in at another school !!! :)

Well I have been MIA for a while, but I received my denial email yesterday. I honestly feel so bummed about it. I have an associates degree already so I really would not want to retake any courses. I think maybe my TEAS weren't competitive enough? I will be sending them an email asking if it was my TEAS score or maybe I did something wrong in my immunizations that kept me out of the program? I dont know. I am honestly just confused. Oh well. I will be studying for my HESI exam in the meantime so I can apply to UT Health. Good luck to everyone on here. Don't give up! & to those that got accepted - the best of luck to you all!

I know they base it solely off your grades and a computer probably ranks people for them. But I have a competitive GPA, my TEAS was not but I tried my best. It upsets me because I know one of my friends who got in has the same GPA as me with only 2 points higher on the TEAS and they got in. Also they are taking 4 pre-reqs right now which seems like a lot so idk

I forgot all about this thread! I didn't get accepted at this school, but I did at a better program. Honestly, if you don't go to SHSU, your chances of being accepted are sliiiim. They get points for every credit hr they have taken at Sam. I say all this to say... put you egg in different baskets. There are other schools out there! I was denied here for Fall as well and I retook stats and my TEAS. So just keep pushin y'all

Where did you get accepted at? I've been at Sam the past 3 semesters and didnt get in, but I think I'm going to try applying to TWU and UTMB for the fall.

UT Health in SA.. and TWU has preference for their schools as well. So if you apply, apply for the Houston campus. (I applied there as well, I've yet to hear if I was accepted)

UT Health is a great program, congrats!! And I read on the TWU thread for the Spring y'all should hear by next week? I have a phone appointment with an advisor scheduled for 10/13 to talk about transferring. For Houston they said ballpark GPA is 3.5-3.8 and average TEAS is 85, plus they take 100 every semester! Their program is a lot better than Sam's so I'm hoping that works out.
