SHSU Spring 2018

Hiii, I saw there wasn't a page for this yet. SO I decided to start one. Anyone submit their app yet? I just got accepted to SHSU and applied to the Woodlands campus. :)

I haven't heard anything back either): Im hoping because my last name starts with an S and they did half yesterday and maybe half today or Monday. Idk how it works. Also does anyone know how many students they accept overall?

Try to stay positive. My last name starts with S. I requested the Woodlands Campus. I believe at one of the info meetings they had they said they would select 30 for The Woodlands and 30 for Huntsville. That's for the traditional BSN. I'm not sure how many for the RN-BSN program. I know they also mentioned they have 200+ people apply.

WOW! I thought it was 60 per campus....

I'm sorry, I could be wrong. I'm pretty sure though I recall for the traditional BSN only 60 total 30 per campus.

Yeah that's what I thought too, hoping it was more. I'm guessing since you have to accept or deny the invitation by the 19th, if you haven't gotten an email of acceptance by now you're waitlisted or denied? Please tell me I'm wrong, but for them to wait until Monday to send out more acceptance letters is really short notice... not sure though.

How are your stats?

3.5 GPA, 76 on TEAS, 90 in math, and 78 in reading. I thought my chances were good. My friend got in and we have about the same stats but I haven't heard anything so idk.

I know I have all my immunizations. But maybe bc in my app I didn't have micro bc my transcript didn't come in time due to the hurricane. But I explained it at the bottom so hopefully they read it.
