Hey guys! I wanted to start a thread for the people applying for the fall program at Sam Houston. The application period is getting close to opening and I am personally getting really nervous
That's so disappointing like what if everyone accepts the position. That means the rest of us will be denied or put as alternative in this case not a chance of getting in. And if you have till Friday 5:00pm to accept or deny that means will get to hear from them next week starting on Tuesday. Dang!!! I'm already tired of Sam. I'm not hopeful anymore and it's definitely a long wait compared to other schools. I've been checking my email every other time and there's nothing and also my status says pending review.
I wish this process was faster.
I think their process is not so bad... Im applying to UTMB to start in the spring and my deadline was May 31 and I havent heard a thing. I believe we start hearing back in a like another month or two. I did not end up applying to sam to start in the fall since my micro professor did not upload my grade in time, but I will be submitting my app for the spring on July 1st.
Don't lose hope! You have come this far not to just give up. Good luck to everyone who is still waiting.
My acceptance email also said I had until June 9th 5pm to reply. So everyone should be hearing something very soon! Their app process isn't nearly as bad as others.. I waited over 16 WKS past the deadline just to get a denial from UTMB.. So Don't lose hope!!!
Incase you're wondering - my app status still says pending review even after they sent my email.
goodluck everyone!
I highly doubt they would send out deline letters this soon. I have a lot of friends and family in academics (of course, none in nursing) and its rare that decline letters go out at the same time, as people turn down spots in programs and stuff like that. They want to ensure they have a full program before they do that. I have no idea if that is how this program works, i just know it's how it is with many.
