Suffolk Community Admissions requirement for Algebra

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Hi,

I was looking at the requirements to apply to SCCC's nursing program directly from high school, and it says you need an 80 in "Integrated Algebra", does anyone know if that means Algebra 1 or 2? I took Algebra 1 in 8th grade and only got a 73 on the Regents, but I was in the 3.3 decile out of 4, so how can they require a grade hardly anyone got? I think that was when they switched over to common core? Maybe I'm misunderstanding... Also I took Calculus this year and got an 83 so do you think they would make an exception? i do meet all the other requirements, so I'm wondering if that Algebra thing is gonna disqualify me. Thanks for any advice!!
