This is so silly, but the AA at my school asked if I needed any office supplies. My highlighters are virtually all dried up, so I asked if I could get a couple new ones - no care for specific colors, as long as they were the fat ones. Today, she presented me with a 12 pack, all different colors, sharpie brand. It made my day (well, that and the 2-hr delay we had due to snow).
So, here's to the Admin Assistants/secretaries that have our backs!

I really like the assistants at the schools I'm at. They always seem to have the answers for any clerical questions I have, and no the school so well.
They even cover me for lunch which they don't have to. They give meds and run the health office when I'm not there which I know they hate but I do appreciate.
Honestly they're pretty underpaid for the amount of work and responsibility they have.

Just got a nice holiday gift from our clerk, she is the best. I didn't get her one, do you think I need to run out now? None of our past clerks did this, so I wasn't prepared.

I haven't usually gotten anything for anyone in my building unless I got something for everyone - and that's usually been baked goods... it sometimes makes me feel bad, especially when others have given me bigger things, but I also remind myself that they are typically doing that without the expectation of a return gift, and it's usually obviously a thanks for helping with a particular situation.
With that said, I do love the Ghiradelli chocolate squares - you get a big bag of those (more economical) and then some tiny gift bags, and voila! Instant, easy, cheap gift!
