I am an LPN. Who has been working as a PCA and seeking a job as an LPN for a Year and a half. I just went to my second interview with the same company. The person interviewing me asked me "Why haven't you found a job yet. It's been two years!" I tried to explain about transportation and family health issues that I been contending with. She told me "Most knew grads have a job in six months." Then went on to say "Who are these people you listed as references? Do you seriously think they will remember you? She ended up offering me a per Diem job as a floater. But all the while reiterating that she felt "My skills would be very rusty." and that "She doubted that I would make it through the facilities training/orientation process." I'm seriously wondering if I should take this job?

Yes, accept the job offer. It isn't as if you have any other employment options at this point. It's a per diem job, meaning that the hours will be very flexible. In addition, you can prove the interviewer wrong by making it through orientation. Good luck!

Yes! Even if its not the greatest working environment, it's an opportunity to hone your skills and list it on a resume to get a better job if necessary.
