I will be applying to the LPN program and eventually bridging to RN. I have a choice to take either Biology or Chemistry. I'm not awesome in math or science, so I'm leaning towards Biology beacuse it just sounds like it will be easier for me, while still preparing me for A&P I & II.
Am I totally off on this? Anyone who's taken both who can weigh in?

Biology is SOOOOO much easier than Chem. Even better if it is Microbiology (it is quite interesting). Biology doesn't involve math where Chemistry does.

I say Biology all the way. Biology will tie into all the A&P you'll be taking. Good luck!

I would vote for Biology too if you don't like math and science! At my school, a certain level of chemistry was required for anatomy and physiology, but I didn't think it was essential for the class.

Chemistry is definitely more challenging than biology but if possible get it over with before you get too deep into your nursing courses. You will appreciate it later on.

it reaslly doesnt matter seeing how you NEED both!! but bio is a bit easier than chem.. but since you need anatomy and bio is the pre req to that and you will need microbiology.. and chem is the pre req to that id say if i were you to do bio first than chem.. you will be taking three classes on the bio side.. being biology ap1 or anatomy and ap2 or physiology... whereas on the chem side you need chem and microbiology. but if you are dreading it which you sound like you are.. just know there isnt a way around it if you want to be a RN.. hope that information helps you
