It really depends on how you learn best. I used flashcards. Lots and LOTS of flashcards. I took them with me everywhere and studied them whenever I could. I also got involved in a study group that my lab group formed. This proved invaluable to me. I am typically a person who likes to study on my own but I found that with my study group, I was able to get some insight on some concepts that I would have never thought of on my own, which really helped the information stick better. Also, stay ahead! I made the mistake of slacking off a bit during the skeletal system which really hurt me when we started doing the muscles. I ended up having to learn both at once which was entirely too much to process. I really struggled through that part.
Hope that helps. There is TONS of advice on the Pre-Nursing Student forum on how to do your best in A&P I that were really helpful as well.
I took A&P 1, Lifetime Fitness, Sociology, Intro to Healthcare, Eng 1 and Intermediate Algebra. It was fine. I loved having Lifetime Fitness along with A&P. I made note cards and would walk on the treadmill and flip through my note cards. Ended up with an A in everything, and I really credit being able to walk on the treadmill, with uninterrupted study time for my A in A&P!

I need some help. I am trying to get into the RN program but I have to take my core classes first. In the spring I am taking A&P I, Sociology and Fitness for Life I. Should I take these two classes with the A&P I class? Any help is greatly appreciated. I know I have to make an "A" in the A&P I class. I just want to make sure I'm not overloading myself taking two other classes with A&P I.
