Should I go off the "updated" information from U World?

Published

So after starting UWorld from Kaplan NCLEX qbanks, I realized that UWorld's content is very updated (some as recent as from days ago). I'm wondering if anyone knows that this is the information to go off of for the actual NCLEX?

I just took my NCLEX on the 20th this month and found out I passed yesterday. I recall seeing some updates on UWORLD around a month ago. Honestly, I felt like the NCLEX was somewhat different to UWORLD. The questions are worded differently. For example:

In Uworld when there are drug questions, they tend to include "A patient is being treated for hypertension taking amlodipine". Whereas in the NCLEX, they will only say the drug name.

I was a little spoiled by UWORLD as i relied on critical information it gives you such as the illness and I use that to guess what mechanism the drug may have. DONT BE LIKE ME! Study the rationales for the drugs and try to remember them without hints in the question. Know what they are because I got a lot of questions regarding drugs.

Also, oddly enough, I did not get a single medical math problem. Otherwise, I strictly used only UWORLD and ended up passing after only studying for a month. Best of luck!

Thanks so much! I didn't realize that the actual NCLEX wouldn't have those helpful hints and I'll definitely keep that on mind as I study! Fingers crossed ?
