I am a 54 year old BSN. I had to stop taking classes at UOP online in 2015 to take care of my mother, I am 5 credit hours from obtaining my MSN in education. I paid cash for all my classes. I want to go back and finish, but they(UOP) told me they would only accept maybe 10 hours of my past classes into the ?new MSN education UOP online program. I have a 3.5 grade point average. What should I do? I do not want to pay for all those courses again (has MSN education curriculum change that much).

Sorry to hear about what happened to you. I was kinda in the same boat. Had only 4 classes or so left and left back in 2015. I recently started going back but switch to MSN in Leadership which allowed more room for wiggle (electives) instead of 4 I have technically 6 classes but, much better than starting over from square 1 with someone else. Once you obtain your MSN you can always take additional courses to get your certification for leadership or education if that is the true path you want. Food for thought. Thanks!

Check out Western Governors University. It is 100 percent online and offers MSN edu.

I would steer clear of Western Govenors University. I recently applied, jumped through the usual admission hoops and was admitted and scheduled to start classes October 1 (two weeks away). Online orientation is the final step to be completed before beginning classes.
In the second module of the online orientation you're required to enter information that will be added to your email signature... the only problem is, they have not connected me to their email system. I have called IT twice and contacted them again from my personal email. They wrote back giving me my non-functioning email address. I contacted my admission counselor who told me to contact IT. I contacted my mentor (who WGU describes as your go-to contact person). She told me that I could postpone my admission and start classes in November (after I changed my work schedule to accommodate my class schedule).
If they can't give you access to an email account, what other deficiencies might they have that will prevent you from finishing your degree (after you spend thousands in tuition). No thank you.
